First photo

This is the very first photo of our little peanut. the head is on the left and the butt is on the right marked with the x's. Still pretty surreal if you ask me. I don't look preggers yet so it was weird to see the little one on the screen. This is at 11 weeks aprox, I also got to have a liter of fluids pumped into me and some nausea medication. Needless to say I am feeling better than I did. I am not feeling quite so "skinny." Matt asked me how I felt the other day and I told him skinny. He gave me the what the heck are you talking about look. I informed him that means I feel malnourished... skinny.

Our own chicky

For those of you that don't know we are going to have our own little one. Yeah! I know many of you thought we were never going to get preggers, or that we did not know how. Well...we are! I am due in November the 13th I think. My first Dr. visit is on April 20 so I hope everything is going well inside. Although I have had such morning, noon, and night sickness you would not believe. The other day I lost 4 pounds because I could not even keep water down. I was getting pretty scared but I had Matt give me a blessing and I seem to be doing better. Thank goodness for the gospel. I don't know how I could have made it through all the sicknesses through the years without it. And all those Priesthood blessings. I am surely grateful. I am also grateful that we told Matt's Fam early since we are living with them it makes explaining all the sickness a lot easier. Matt's sis Emily says that she no longer wants to have babies because I have been so sick. Hopefully she forgets by that time! I have now had 2 good days in a row! Keep em coming!

Rikki

I finally got to see Rikki's bell concert (besides the Mormon Tabernacle Choir one that you could not really see her) I just have to say that I have an amazing sister so talented. She manages to do so many things and still mostly keep up with her homework. We know you get frustrated but keep up the good work! We are so proud of you Rikki! and we love you!

Funeral

Yesterday we went to my uncle Brent Olson's funeral. It was a wonderful celebration of his life and was very good. It was a good mix of the plan of happiness and humor. Afterward at the cemetery they had the Honor guard and they did a 21 gun salute and they played taps. It was very moving. He will be missed for his cheerfulness and service to others.

We went sledding for Jeffs birthday. Here are some pics.
Today has been very relaxing compared to the last 2 days. Matt and I went out to Erin and Jareds Monday night to take our shift of babysitting while they went to Hawaii. It was interesting to say the least. Kenzie (almost 2) had a double ear infection and her medicine gave her diahrea (which leaked out of both sides of her diaper if she didn't get changed fast enough. Like within 2 min) I am fairly sure she ruined some of her outfits. Tyler 5 had a cold and said "I wish I could..." at least 20 times a day. Zach 8 would eat you out of house and home if you let him. Courtney 10 was annoyed with her brothers. The house creaks a lot I was glad I was not there by myself at night Kara you are a champ! I would have freaked out. Matt rescued me the first night While I held Kenzie and read her books he fed the other 3 dinner and got them to do their homework. What a great husband I have! Thanks Babe! We realized that parenting takes a lot more teamwork than we thought. It was good for the most part. I don't mind snuggling Kenz and looking at books most of the day. I think she is feeling a little better. She was playing by herself for at least a little while before Kara came to take her turn with the hoodlums. It was fun especially seeing Kenzie fall asleep in the bathtub. Always entertaining that one!
